The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Journey into an enchanting world of modern Baroque decadence inspired by the era of artisans with KAS.

This is a season of invigorating designs that extend from Surrealist impressions of Victorian tradition to wild tribal glamour.

Create an eccentric and magical experience with Ascent (above). Based on the popular chevron pattern, this bold geometric design is playful and fun. The solid design elements at its base lighten as they travel to the top of the bed and are highlighted with stripes of ‘pop’ colour throughout. This vibrant print on cotton sateen gains depth with a greyscale geometric reverse.

Ornate, elaborate and richly detailed, the Persia is an elegant paisley with timeless appeal. Printed on crisp cotton percale, this intricate design is given an unexpected twist with a contemporary polka dot reverse.

Frenti is a classic pièce de résistance that takes opulence to a new level. Intricate patterning reminiscent of Baroque 1800s ironwork is highlighted with vibrant kelly green to create a modern phenomenon.
