In era of built up environments, dense city living, man-made materials and a constant drive to renew and improve, removing oneself from the city is more appealing than ever. However, getting back to nature doesn’t have to mean escaping the city and relocating to a large rural block of land, nor does it need to be synonymous with basic architecture.
Habitus #33 is all about getting back to our green roots and living harmoniously with nature. The issue looks at the myriad ways contemporary architecture and design champions an organic environment, rather than competing with it.
Nature can be found – or rediscovered – in any given circumstance. Come on an expedition with us in Habitus #33 as we track down all the ways you can invite nature back into your surrounds, and all the ways in which you will benefit.
Hidden away in a remote, previously untouched area of the Daintree Rainforest, our cover story features the work of M3 Architecture on the cover. In this issue we look at well known industry representatives such as Joost Baker and Vo Trong Nghia, championing sustainable architecture and design through their work.
In celebration of the launch, we are hosting a small Instagram and Facebook competition with two signed copies of Kara Rosenlund’s Shelter to give away.
