Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Habitus Awards at SID

As part of this year’s Saturday in Design we awarded the Habitus Award for Best Residential Product. And the winner is…

Cosh Living’s Indu + Tomboy by Indu.

The award recognizes the outdoor kitchen unit’s good looks and range of models, customisable finishes and accessories which make it suitable for a variety of environments and price points, as well as the use of new technology in the induction systems and the flexibility that this offers. So many exciting new possibilities for the traditional Australian barbecue!

Indu+ introduces a completely new cooking experience. With its modular induction hobs and rolling trolleys, you can easily move the kitchen outdoors in no time. The induction hobs in the trolleys are modular and can therefore be easily changed and adapted to the menu requirements: cooking, wokking, grilling or preparing teppanyaki, indoors or outdoors, the trolleys provide unprecedented flexibility. Besides, induction cooking itself is advancing rapidly because it is a fast way of cooking, saves energy and perfectly matches a healthy diet.
