That’s A Wrap On Habitus House Of The Year – For Now!

Sydney was all ears at StylecraftHOME last week as we recognised our 2019 winners for Habitus House of the Year.

As the year draws to an end so too does Habitus House of the Year. It began with the launch of the new special annual edition at Gaggenau in Melbourne – which formally announced the 20 recently completed residential projects spanning the Indo Pacfic – after which, the independent jury gathered for the Judging Day to consider the selection and award an overall Habitus House of the Year, recognise another for Architecture and Landscape, another for Interior and Exterior Connection, and note their commendations.

On Thursday 31st October at the StylecraftHOME showroom in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo, these awards were announced. You can see the final winners here.

Habitus would like to extend our sincere thanks to our esteemed jury – Neil Burley, David Clark, Karen McCartney, Palinda Kannangara, Shelley Penn, Howard Tanner, and Narelle Yabuka – for the time and attention they have given over, in amidst busy schedules, to Habitus House of the Year.

It’s important to note, as it was on the night, that the 20 houses we have selected for the 2019 initiative are our, Habitus Houses of the Year. Each is an outstanding representation of what we can achieve across the Region. According to Habitus, all are winners.

Many gathered in support of the initiative, eagerly awaiting the final announcements and it was fantastic to see architects from up and down the country and across the Region on the night.

Crucially, without the support of our partners Habitus wouldn’t be able to reach the milestones that we have nor champion the accomplishments of the local architecture community in the way Habitus House of the Year does. We would like to recognise the support of our Major Partners: StylecraftHOME, Gaggenau, and Zip; our Supporting Partners: Armadillo & Co and Earp Bros; our Design Hunter Partners: Armadillo & Co, Boyd Blue, Earp Bros, Euroluce, Hale Mercantile Co, Nique, Premium Sound, Phoenix Tapware, Project 82, Studio Gallery Melbourne, Top3 by Design, and Tsar Carpets; our accommodation partner Ovolo Hotels; and our Trophy Partner, Axolotl.

Stay tuned for updates on Season 2 of Habitus House of the Year set to air on Channel 7 in early 2020!
