Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

RELAXING WITH HABITUS DURING SATURDAY IN DESIGN

Habitus is all about enjoying the moment and living in design, so its little wonder readers and editors alike enjoyed taking a break from the hustle and bustle of Saturday in Design on Saturday 20 August to enjoy drinks at the Space Furniture showroom in the Alexandria Precinct.

A gorgeous outdoor experience was created by the Space Furniture team with their Driade furniture range styled within an area of the showroom. An afternoon of casual drinks was organised to introduce editors to readers, with guests enjoying wines from Katnook Estate and cheese platters compliments of Space Furniture, all while the sun was setting outside.

Event attendees were invited to chat with the editorial team from Indesign Publishing including Editorial Director Paul McGillick, Habitus Deputy Editor Nicky Lobo, Deputy Editor of Indesign magazine, Mandi Keighran, Indesignlive’s Editor Ola Bednarczuk, DQ Editor Alice Blackwood and Editorial Assistant Linda Cheng.
