Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Waterford “Live a Crystal Life” Launch at Cult

The Iconic House of Crystal unveils the Waterford Interiors Collection in luxurious fashion at the Cult showroom.

The Cult showroom at Chippendale has never sparkled so brightly as with their collection of ‘authentic’ modern classic furniture from Fritz Hansen, Poltrona Frau and Cassina setting the scene amongst key Waterford pieces.

International Designer Jo Sampson flew in for the event (breathtaking in a couture Alex Perry gown), her contemporary design DNA stamped firmly on the Jo Sampson Waterford London Collection holding pride of place on the floor. Sampson talked about her vision for the Waterford future, thanking Cult’s Richard Munao and Lauren Black for their belief and vision.

Alex Perry looked truly touched when Jo Sampson also thanked him in her speech, referring to him as a true artisan. Guests mingled around the luxury lifestyle settings while sipping Laurent Perrier champagne out of stunning Waterford Crystal ruby flutes. An incredible Crystal banquet room was then revealed – guests dined in luxury thanks to Pearl Catering and flowers by Saskia Havekes from Grandiflora while 116 guests were seated on authentic classic designer chairs supplied by Cult just for the evening!

Waterford, the luxury house of crystal unveiled the new Waterford Interiors Collection last week to Australia’s elite design community, proving that crystal has never been more desirable or fashionable. The collection includes sparkling lighting, stylish furniture and illuminated cut mirrors designed to captivate their next generation of loyal luxury consumers.
