Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Save the date! Winnings x Habitus House of the Year Reveal Party to hit Melbourne

With judging of the shortlist complete and People’s Choice Award voting still open, it’s time to mark your calendar for our party on 21st November.

During the second half of 2024, Habitus House of the Year has been building behind the scenes. This year, excitingly, we’ve partnered with Winnings and Rogerseller, as Major and Silver Partner respectively, to bring you the most comprehensive contest yet. A shortlist of 20 projects from across the Indo-Pacific region have been individually selected by our editorial team – this is an awards program marked by the seasoned judgement of experienced design editors, and there is no such thing as submitting a project for consideration. The shortlisted homes provide a cross-section of the whole region, from multiple Australian states to New Zealand, Singapore and India.

Winnings x Habitus House Year 2024 is set to reach a climax at the Reveal Party on Thursday 21st November. The fun event will take place at Winnings’ impressive Richmond showroom, where we can expect a memorable evening featuring short, engaging and varied insights from across the design community – as well as a surprise or two from outside it!

So, save the date – Thursday 21st November – and join us for an unforgettable evening at the 2024 Winnings x Habitus House of the Year Reveal Party. Grab your team or bring along some design friends to make the night even more memorable as we announce this year’s winners and celebrate the finest in residential design across the Indo-Pacific. With exciting entertainment, a vibrant atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to create lasting memories, this is the perfect event to experience together.

Voting in the People’s Choice Award remains open until 4th November, with the winner announced on the evening in Melbourne. We will also be announcing the overall winners, as well as a very special Winnings Award.
