Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Working with Framework.Furniture we can customise a system to suit your specific needs. We can design up to 3000 high and 1800 wide to suit 3 x 600mm wall bays using slotted post or our function rail system. Always freestanding and always tool-free. Every custom designed unit is made to take all of the accessories including crossbars, shelves, front arms and side hangs. All top and bottom shelves can have any infill material including timbers, laminates, powder coated metal, perforated metals… the options are endless. Framework.Furniture was started by Rebecca Dawes and Dane Power of Koda Design who set out to see an end to throwaway, poorly designed and unsustainable furniture. Drawing on their expertise in Retail and Residential design they collaborated over 4 years to develop Framework: System One. The system has a unique tool-free, click-in design that allows you to adjust it when you want. It can be easily installed, it is reusable, transportable and scalable. A universally designed display and storage solution it is suitable for Commercial use, retail displays, Office storage and Home furniture.
