Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Château 120

By La Cornue

Enter the wonderful world of cuisine with the Château 120, which offers impressive cooking capability in a deceptively small package.

At 120-centimetres-wide, Château 120 is a compact kitchen range cooker that offers all the advantages of the larger Château models. It has two vaulted ovens – one gas and one electric – and the stainless-steel hob is available in eight possible configurations with options for induction, gas, wok burner, French skillet, teppanyaki and lava-rock grill.

The Château line is the flagship of La Cornue. Each Château 120 is exclusively made to order in La Cornue’s workshop outside of Paris. It is available in a variety of 50 standard enamel or metal body finishes, with a choice for five trims. Each range is made by hand and numbered by the craftsmen.

Châtelet 120

Châtelet 120 is also available. It features one standard gas or electric oven and one warming cupboard for raising bread or brioche dough, low-temperature cooking, and more. Like Château 120, the stainless-steel hob is available in different configurations to best match your cooking style.
