Vintage Modern Issue

The breadth and scope of Habitus has always been extraordinary. With how we live at heart of every issue, we have stepped it up with Guest Editor David Flack of Flack Studio shaking the ‘how’ and looking at new ways to make a house a home. With Vintage Modern as the issues theme, we look at the way iconic design has stayed with us, how daring pieces from the past can add the wow factor and how architecture and good design defy the pigeon hole of their era.

Flamberge Rôtisserie

By La Cornue

Complementing the Château range, Flamberge Rôtisserie is a wall-mounted gas rotisserie that does not require any ventilation thanks to its ingenious design.

Flamberge Rôtisserie optimises the circulation of heat flow for roasting dishes, and releases the flavours of the ingredients while preserving the tenderness of the flesh.

It has a solid cast-iron concave rear wall and is heated by a powerful gas burner beneath three motorised spits. Synthetic wicks pull the heat up through the vaulted back of the unit, allowing the radiant heat to gently cook foods as they rotate slowly on a spit over the flame.

Crafted from cast iron and steel, the rôtisserie provides a sumptuous culinary experience and a mesmerising aesthetic, slowly roasting food on the spits or in the fish basket. The porcelain drip tray collects juices that can compose a harmonious flavouring for accompanying dishes.

Flamberge Rôtisserie measures 76 centimetres and does not require a flue, so it’s ready to incorporate into any kitchen. It is avliable in colours and trims to match the entire Château series, creating perfect balance, harmony and performance in the kitchen.
