Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. CHANDON Homestead is aged to perfection

Australia

Designed for CHANDON by Melbourne-based interior designer Melanie Beynon, the Homestead is an ebullient blend of heritage and contemporary Australian design.

Sequestered within the rolling vineyards of CHANDON Australia’s Yarra Valley estate, the Homestead denotes an evolution of the lauded label’s hospitality offering. Designed by Melbourne-based interior designer Melanie Beynon, the ebullient space presents an amalgam of heritage and contemporary Australian design, creating a setting that is as cultured as it is convivial.

Originally a farmhouse with a tenure spanning over a century, the Homestead has been remodelled into an exclusive venue for private tastings and events. Retaining its architectural integrity while espousing a modern sensibility, the interiors exude warmth through a considered palette of soft pinks and earthy tones, echoing the delicate hues of CHANDON’s méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines.

At the heart of the redesign is a curatorial of furniture, ceramics and artworks, showcasing the breadth of Australian craftsmanship. Over twenty local artists and designers have contributed to the Homestead, with works by Barbera, Daniel Boddam, Jordan Fleming, Lana Launey, Anna Varendorff and Kate Tucker forming part of the narrative. Additionally, CHANDON has commissioned bespoke pieces, including large-scale textile works by Jacquie Lazzarotto and Emma Shepherd, sculptural accents by Kristin Burgham and Jordan Fleming, and tableware by ceramicist Ryan L Foote.
